If you know me, you know I love matcha tea. I have been drinking matcha for years and it's definitely one of my most favorite teas.
Matcha is totally trending. There are so many matcha creations including desserts, cocktails and even some savory foods. Matcha has a ton of antioxidants and it has many health benefits. I particularly love matcha lattes. Last week, we were having lunch at True Food Kitchen during our coach retreat and I saw they had matcha horchata on the menu! Yum!
I took it upon me to recreate this deliciousness!
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 tablespoon of organic matcha (This is my favorite brand)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Boil water and mix 1/4 cup of hot water with the matcha. You need to whisk it until it is lump free.
- Add the honey to the tea and and whisk until it's incorporated to the tea.
- Cool the tea in the fridge and once it's cold, add the rest of the ingredients.
- Shake and enjoy!
