Did you know that we all have 6 basic human needs that we meet through behaviors all the time? Through rituals that are empowering and through rituals that are sometimes painful, we are all doing the best that we can to get these needs met. Learn what these needs are and how you are affecting your life by the way that you value/rank them. This episode is a total gut checker! 

The content is inspired by Tony Robbins since the message I share on the episode is a summary of one of the dynamics I worked through at Unleash The Power Within this last July.

  1. Certainty
  2. Uncertainty
  3. Significance
  4. Love/Connection
  5. Growth
  6. Contribution

The first four needs are personality needs, the last two are spiritual needs.

It is only by meeting the spiritual needs that you will experience joy vs momentary pleasure. People find ways to meet needs in positive, negative or neutral ways but every person finds a way to meet them in some way. Any activity, action or emotion that fulfills at least three needs at a high level becomes, in effect, an addiction. Likewise, people have positive, negative and neutral addictions. There is always a way to fulfill a need; the skill lies in finding a sustainable way to fulfill it, and in a way that gives you more pleasure than pain. - Tony Robbins

1. According to your life right now, how do you CURRENTLY rank these needs? What negative and positive activities/behavours are you repeatedly doing to get these needs met?

2. RE RANK these needs according to what you learned on this episode. Think about how you can create new activities, adjust boundaries and get your needs met through ways that are healthy vs destructive.
